ACTIVITIES:

Live Auction – There will be a live auction for “Angelica”, a Gretsch Electromatic Classic Hollowbody Double-Cut Guitar with a maple top, back, sides, and maple neck, Laurel Fretboard, 2 Humbucking Pickups, and Bigsby B60 Vibrato Tailpiece, in Snowcrest White.  Starting bid is $600 so bring your checkbook, credit card, or wallet!

Music – The roaring 20’s are coming back around and The Dirty River Jazz Band is the future of traditional jazz in Texas, bringing high energy and expertise to a style of music that some have forgotten. The Dirty River Jazz Band is a traditional-style jazz band from right here in San Antonio, their sound closely emulates The Jim Cullum Jazz Band who has helped mentor the members of the band. Other similar artists include Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Kid Ory, Fats Waller, Turk Murphy, Lu Watters, and many others.

Michael Tellez, prolific songwriter and bassist for Corduroy Orbison will also be joining us for a jam session!

Corduroy Orbison is a self-described “rock band of sorts” from the greater Kentuckiana region, they have released 2 full-length LPs, 2 EPs, and a few singles. Check out their website: https://corduroyorbison.com/band/

Don’t forget to soften, stretch your boots, add cushioning to the soles, or get better boot socks… whatever it takes for boot-scootin’!

Food – Bring your appetite! Ron Williams and his team at Fiesta BBQ & Paella will be serving up some good BBQ and sides… AND Dr. Macris’ brother-in-law, Theodore Vatzakas, is joining us all the way from Greece. He and Dr. M will be cooking lamb on a spit… what a treat!

Drinks – There will be plenty of refreshments for everyone and the signature drink of the day will be Pineapple Upside-Down Cake featuring Cinco Vodka, YUM!

Games – Bring your A-game for Washers, Cornhole, and Beer Pong! It’s your chance to claim yourself TPF Champion of the Year until October 2023 so bring your competitive edge!

Finally, an enormous THANK YOU for being incredible supporters and partners of The Prosthetic Foundation! Each one of you and your respective organization is making a huge difference in the lives of Texas amputees and their families and we are truly grateful for all that you do!

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday!
